The history of Chess Records is the history of American pop music in the second half of the twentieth century. Chess is best known for recording the acoustic blues that originated in the Mississippi Delta and filtered through Chicago´s South Side, as well as releasing some of the first rock ´n´ roll singles.
The legacy of Chess Records still endures more than 75 years later. "Let´s Play Chess (A Chess Records Anthology)" was curated by Grammy Award-winning producer, Chess Records connoisseur and drummer Steve Jordan and presents 25 of the label´s finest recordings, some of the most important and exciting recordings ever made.
