"Surfilmusic", a documentary that traces Johnson´s development from surfer to filmmaker and finally to world-famous musician, follows him through the making of his legendary surf films "Thicker Than Water" (1999) and "The September Sessions" (2000). These classics revealed Johnson´s artistic vision through his camera and guitar and ultimately launched his music career.
The album also features 4 unique tracks that Johnson recorded on his 4-track cassette recorder in the 1990s.
