"The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is Pink Floyd´s debut album. The record was originally released in 1967.
The recordings took place at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Norman Smith, who also worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles, sat at the mixing desk. "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is the only album they recorded without their future frontman David Gilmour. Instead, band founder Syd Barrett was the musical director of the songwriting and recordings.
